27 UJ MarketingFit industry series The UJMarketingFit 2022 online event, in collaboration with the UJ Library, took place during the last week of July 2022. It was thrilling and impactful, with amazing industry speakers in this week-long line up, each tackling a topic to help marketers to stay #marketingfit for change. This year, the majority of the speakers were marketing alumni, which made the Marketing Department proud to see the impactful contributions they are making to industry. The sessions were facilitated by Nontokozo Mokoena, SCiiS Marketing Manager. SCIIS TALKS During August, the School of Consumer Intelligence and Information Systems (SCiiS) hosted their annual SCiiS Talks. The talks offer a digital space in which industry and academia meet to tackle, through discussions, burning issues in the 4IR space. These sessions were facilitated by SCiiS Director, Prof. Mercy Mpinganjira. Integrating online and offline marketing channels to drive seamless consumer experience was the first topic to be tackled. Sadika Fakir, Integrated Media & Digital Director at Tiger Brands, presented the topic on 15 August 2022. To watch this talk, click HERE. The role of innovation ecosystems in driving social transformation in South Africa was the second topic, and was covered by Dr Radhika (Mia) Bhuyan, Associate Faculty of Organisational Innovation, Design & Creativity: Da Vinci Business School, and co-founder of Social-Impact.Africa on 16 August 2022.
